A few days after Laurence Jalbert was forced to cancel a performance at the Fête du Lac des Nations in Sherbrooke, he received a very unpleasant message on Facebook.

In an Instagram post posted this Friday afternoon, the 63-year-old singer-songwriter provided a wonderful example of what artists mean when they complain about receiving hate mail on social media.
“KARMA catching up with you corrupt Chie**E OST?? All the better for you, SALO**E CORRUPTED COLLABOS OF SUB-HUMAN,” a certain Marc Vaillancourt kindly wrote to him on Facebook.

Regardless, the 63-year-old singer took matters into her own hands by urging her audience to “send love” to whoever appears to have taken the longest, darkest and narrowest corridor…
“Could you please take care of it, I’m too ill for it…” replied Jalbert, whose health condition would not allow him to offer the scheduled July 18th service in Sherbrooke.
“If you want to send her some love then go ahead! Don’t do without it! But I do admit that I feel sorry and hurt for the love baby he’s holding in his arms,” she added.
OUCH!
In the comments, Nathalie Simard showed sympathy by sending her support to her friend.
“This man must be marked by something to pour out so much hate on a woman he REALLY doesn’t know!!! “Social media is for connecting with respect, not destroying!!!” commented half of Turn the Page’s performers.
