Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to undergo pacemaker implantation after health problems – Fox News

According to Israeli reports, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will have a pacemaker implanted on Sunday morning amid recent health problems.

The surgery was announced in a Twitter video early Sunday morning. Israeli Public Broadcaster (KAN) reported that Netanyahu’s statements, which were in Hebrew, were made ahead of a vote in the Knesset on Israel’s controversial judicial reform.

“The attempts to reach a broad agreement are still going on,” KAN quoted him as saying.

“Legislation that allows the government to act in such an utterly irrational manner would compromise the security of the State of Israel, create deep distrust, and jeopardize my ability to continue and risk my life – so it is with great sadness and with no other options that I am suspending my voluntary reserve service,” the letter reads.
