Lenovo had updated the “new Y700s”. Updates from Predecessor 2022 to Predecessor 2022 in the form of detailed specification and feature previews. Nonetheless, today the OEM took the opportunity to highlight them during its epic Legion product event.
To that end, the Legion Y700 is now poised to take its place at the pinnacle of gaming tablets, with a 144Hz resolution for a 2560 x 1600 PureSight 2560 x 1600 display. More than 45W for its 6550mAh battery.
It has to be said that it helped the Y90 get away with Legion making its latest tablet lighter and thinner (348g and 7.6mm respectively) than its predecessor. Still, it packs a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, giving the new version of the 8.8-inch device the AnTuTu certification of 1,390,000 (at least according to Lenovo).
The 2023 version also officially ditches 8GB of RAM, starting at 2,399 yuan (~$334) for a model with 12GB/256GB of internal storage. It costs another 200 yuan (about $28) to upgrade to 512GB, while the top-of-the-line Y700 2023 costs 2,799 yuan (about $390), although it offers a maximum of 16GB of RAM. Hopefully this version of the Y700 will be officially announced this time around.
