Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid has married Brazilian Sports Illustrated model Anne de Paula in a sensational Hamptons ceremony.

The 29-year-old Cameroonian native tied the knot with bombshell de Paula in a church ceremony in front of his friends and family in Southampton, New York on Saturday.

Embiid, who was named NBA MVP in May, and de Paula already have a son together, Arthur, who is currently two years old. He was adored by NBA fans after greeting his father on the court during the MVP ceremony.

De Paula and Embiid were married in a church – and the beautiful bride wore a long-sleeved lace dress and veil, while the elegant groom donned a white tuxedo.

Wearing a white tuxedo with a bow tie, Embiid smiled with his blushing bride, who wore a progressive pattern dress.

Embiid received the only ring of his career during the ceremony. His 76ers failed to defeat the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Semifinals in May.

There is uncertainty about the future of Philadelphia. James Harden could be out and Embiid admitted he was “disappointed” to find out The Beard wanted to leave.

Embiid has described how much an NBA title would mean to him – and hinted he might be willing to leave the 76ers at some point to achieve it.

“I just want to win a championship.” “Whatever it takes,” Embiid said in an interview with Maverick Carter held at Thursday’s UNINTERRUPTED Sports Film Festival.

“I don’t know where that’s going to be, whether it’s in Philly or elsewhere, I just want a chance to make that happen.”

“I want to see how it feels to win the first one and then you can think about the next one.” It’s not easy, but it takes more than one or two, three people. You have to have good people around you every day and I’m working hard to be at that level so I can make it. That’s why I work towards it every day.”

Embiid said he “loves the challenge” of hearing other players mentioned as MVPs and proving themselves.

“I get the business, it’s fun, at the end of the day I think like this: I’m extremely blessed,” Embiid said.
