Brad Pitt through the years: How the star went from sagging soap actor to high-profile Hollywood royalty — and looking better than ever at 59

He has been one of Hollywood’s most attractive leading actors for decades.

And Brad Pitt had fans raving about his recent appearance on the final day of Wimbledon, where he flaunted his trimmed looks.

The 59-year-old actor has long been known for his attractiveness and has twice been named People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive.

But the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star has sported many different looks over her years in the spotlight.

From breaking through on the stage in his early 20’s with roles on shows like Dallas and Growing Pains to his rise to full A-list status in the early ’90’s, Brad’s popularity has not faltered.

The star is enjoying one of his most prolific streaks to date, as in addition to producing projects like ‘Landscape with Invisible Hand’ and ‘The Killer,’ he’s also starring in upcoming projects like ‘Beetlejuice 2’ and ‘Wolves.’

As he proves he’s still got it, Web takes a look back at the star’s looks over the years.

The 1980s

That year, the budding actor landed his first camera role on the soap opera Another World, and followed that up with appearances on Growing Pains and Dallas.

The actor’s good looks as a movie star were evident early on, and he was soon landing supporting roles in films such as Less Than Zero and No Man’s Land.

The 1990s

In the early ’90s, Brad sported his signature blond hair and appeared in one of his most memorable early roles in Thelma & Louise (1991) alongside Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon.

Brad played the handsome young drifter JD who ends up sleeping with Thelma and later stealing Louise’s life savings.

When his star-studded film True Romance opened, Brad showed off his rugged looks with long locks and stubble.

Two years later, he proved he could pull off a shorter look when he took on the lead role of a homicide detective in crime thriller Seven, opposite Morgan Freeman and his ex-girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow.

The early 2000s were a good time for Brad. He started the decade with starring roles in The Mexican (2001) opposite Julia Roberts and Ocean’s Eleven (2001) with George Clooney.

The star continued to sport a short hairstyle, but opted for a cleaner look during these years, forgoing his ’90s stubble.

Brad was already considered one of the most important male sex symbols in Hollywood at the time, as he became the first person to be named “Sexiest Man Alive” twice in 2000.

By the early 2010s, Brad had transitioned his career from acting to producing, working behind the scenes on a number of his films.

The star also changed his looks during this time, growing long, dark brown locks, which he flaunted at the premiere of his film Killing Him Softly (2012).

In later years he changed the look slightly, opting for a sleeker hairdo with salt and pepper stubble while starring in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

This period was also a career highlight for Brad, when he won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for the Quentin Tarantino film.

Brad, who was in the UK for his new movie Apex last weekend, filming scenes at Silverstone, showed off his modern style wearing a light blue knitted polo shirt with stacks of chains and aviator sunglasses

The actor caused a stir with his recent appearance at the Wimbledon tennis tournament, where he sat alongside Prince William and Kate Middleton.

As well as admiring his looks, fans were thrilled when the megastar – who played a man who ages backwards in 2008’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button – was stuffed into a packet of chips and “still looked gorgeous.”
