British Open 2023 Leaderboard: Live Coverage, Rory McIlroy Score, Golf Scores Today, How to Watch Round 4 – CBS Sports

The last Major of 2023 concludes on Sunday with the 151st Open Championship at the Royal Liverpool. As the world’s best golfers play one last game at Hoylake, England, Brian Harman will hold the sizable five-stroke lead at 12 under with one hand on the Claret Jug. Harman struggled to maintain his 36-hole lead but managed to do just that, maintaining the same lead going into the final 18 holes that he held at the start of Moving Day.

However, the competition behind him changed. 2022 Open runner-up Cameron Young will compete alongside his fellow American in the final pairing on Sunday. Young scored an impressive 66 points and rocketed to the top of the leaderboard thanks to fast approach play and timely short play. His game must endure at all times in Sunday’s crucial finals as a five-stroke lead has not been relinquished since Jean Van de Velde’s infamous collapse in 1999.

Also in the running is world No. 3 Jon Rahm, who set a Major course record of 63 in Lap 3 – the lowest lap of his own Major career – and may need a similar number to stand a shot at his third Major title after coming down seven. Viktor Hovland and Jason Day are among those who can strike if Harman somehow makes a mistake, but it will certainly take some slip-up from Harman for anyone other than Young and Rahm to get involved in the hunt for the Claret Jug on Sunday.
