STOCKHOLM, July 24 (Portal) – Elon Musk and Twitter boss Linda Yaccarino on Monday unveiled a logo for the social media platform that features a white “X” on a black background to replace the familiar blue bird symbol.
“X is here! Let’s do this,” Yaccarino tweeted, also posting an image of the logo projected onto the company’s San Francisco offices.
Both Yaccarino and Musk’s Twitter handles sport the X logo, although the blue Twitter bird is still visible across the platform.
Musk said in a post Sunday that he wants to change Twitter’s logo and asked his millions of followers if they would support changing the site’s color scheme from blue to black.
He posted an image of a stylized X against a black, space-themed background. He also referred to the “interim X logo”.
Yaccarino, the former advertising chief of NBCUniversal who started as Twitter CEO on June 5, has taken over as the social media platform seeks to reverse a decline in advertising revenue.
