The Repubblica journalists distanced themselves from the article
A cut, that of the journalist, writer and TV presenter, which many did not like. But when social media is all about irony narrative judged classicist (top notch indeed), there are those who took the question much more seriously.
The editors of Repubblica (belonging to GEDI Publishing Group and again to Exor group of the Agnelli/Elkann family) sent an email to dissociate themselves from the writing. “The editors read with great confusion an article published in the culture pages of our newspaper and signed by the publisher’s father,” they wrote.
“We distance ourselves from the classical content contained in the font. In return, however, we are the subject of an avalanche of critical comments on social media that disqualify all of us for the work that is based on passion, commitment and a search for humility,” the note concludes.

As already mentioned, the article has not gone unnoticed and has caused more or less serious reactions even from users. Some ironize the content, emphasizing words like “Landsknechts”, the strange formula of “Martians from another world” (so garish, one might say) and above all the fact that they are not sure if they took the right train because they went to Foggia via Caserta.
