Simple Plan and 2Frères pay a lively tribute to the Fringants Cowboys

A few days after one of the most memorable shows in FEQ history, Les Cowboys Fringants have had to cancel Friday night’s performance at the Fête du Lac des Nations due to the health problems of their lead singer Karl Tremblay.

It was the very popular band Simple Plan who took up the challenge of replacing the band at the festival.

After announcing their participation, the members of the group shared a beautiful message on their page, intended for their cowboy friends.

Another tribute was paid during Friday’s show when the group’s lead singer, Pierre Bouvier, was joined on stage by Erik Caouette of the group 2Frères.

Together the two played “The Shooting Stars”, one of the signature songs of the cowboys.

It was an emotionally charged moment that the audience definitely enjoyed.
