A VOIR Jacob Fowler and his family wept with joy

[À VOIR] Jacob Fowler and his family wept with joy when he was drafted by the CH

For several years, the National Hockey League (NHL) has produced a report that sheds light behind the scenes of the draft. This year, alongside big names like Connor Bedard, Leo Carlsson and Adam Fantilli, the film crew of Welcome to the NHL also documented the journey of the Montreal Canadiens’ third-round pick, goaltender Jacob Fowler.

The NHL followed Jacob and his family until the Habs called his name, 69 total.

“Oh my God! I knew it! I knew it! Oh my God!” his dad Jay Fowler immediately starts and hugs him.

The family had a premonition as Jacob’s paternal grandfather, who died last year, often wore a Habs jersey. Little Jacob also had a set of mini hockey in the colors of the CH, which he took everywhere, younger.

“To see him land in Montreal means a lot to me,” added his emotional father.

The full documentary can be found here. The scene around Jacob Fowler begins shortly after the 40th minute.
