Buffalo Bills running back Nyheim Hines’ 2023 season could be over before it even begins.

On Monday, the NFL Network learned that the 26-year-old suffered a serious knee injury while training off the field.
Hines was acquired in a trade with the Indianapolis Colts last year and has been used primarily as a punt returner for the Bills. He did very well at that position as well, averaging 29.2 yards per return. He also scored two touchdowns.
Hines would also have had a chance to compete with Latavius Murray, Damien Harris and James Cook for backfield responsibility as the team seeks top honors again this year.
In 81 career games, Hines has rushed for 1,202 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also caught 240 passes for 1,778 yards and eight majors.
