The “Robot Medic” is a robotcontrolled unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) with virtual reality (VR) capability. Human doctors can control it remotely and use its arms to perform vital tests, such as taking temperature, blood pressure and heart rate, and administering injections to patients.

The technology It’s a real breakthrough, especially in highrisk environments where human lives are at risk. In situations such as humanitarian disasters, nuclear crises, or war zones, the Robot Medic can be a lifesaving tool, allowing doctors to triage remotely and stay safe.

The socalled MediTel platform combines existing medical devices with the latest robotic systems. It has two robotic arms that can operate medical instruments remotely, enabling a critical initial assessment of a victim in just 20 minutes. In addition, it transmits realtime data to the remote operator, ensuring a quick and accurate response.

The success of the project prompted the team to consider developing a comprehensive medical emergency platform that can be deployed quickly disasters humanitarian.
