Storm covers several roofs in Tyrol
Strong gusts of wind caused damage in Tyrol: the wind in the Kitzbühel district covered the roofs of two houses. First, due to a storm in the municipality of Kirchdorf, half of the tin roof of a residential building came off. The loose tin roof completely folded over to the other side of the roof, as reported by LPD Tirol in a broadcast. The damaged roof was temporarily covered by firefighters. Kirchdorf’s volunteer fire brigade was deployed with eight emergency services and a police patrol. No one was injured as a result of the incident. An unknown amount of damage was done to the roof.
Another two roofs damaged
At 4:35 pm, the storm ripped off another corrugated iron roof from a residential building – this time in St. Louis Township. The tin roof with an area of approximately 40 square meters landed on the ridge of an uninhabited building about 50 meters away. The Volunteer Fire Brigade of St. Johann in Tirol was mobilized with 27 emergency services and a police patrol. The loose corrugated sheet roof was removed by the fire department. The two damaged roofs were temporarily covered by firefighters. No one was injured as a result of the incident. Damage to both roofs was unknown.
