The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 resumed on Monday (on FS1 and the FOX Sports app) with a Group H match between Colombia and South Korea at Sydney Football Stadium in Australia.
Both teams were aggressive in the duel, but a penalty by Colombia’s all-time top scorer, Catalina Usme, gave Colombia the lead. Another goal from Linda Caicedo in the first half, their first ever goal at a FIFA Women’s World Cup, ultimately gave Colombia the lead and victory.

Colombia were first on the field with a successful penalty from Catalina Usme.

Colombia’s Manuela Vanegas received the game’s first yellow card after a high kick that hit Son Hwayeon.

South Korea’s Choe Yu-Ri had an early shot, but Colombia goalkeeper Catalina Perez saved.
