To take care of her health off stage, Joelma received a special gift from her fans this Monday (24). The artist’s admirers paid to have a video of her shown on one of the screens in Times Square, one of New York’s main tourist attractions.
The singer shared the surprise via Instagram Stories. She enthusiastically thanked for the affection shown to her at such a delicate moment in her career.
“I have the biggest fan base in the world. Thanks for always being with me,” the blonde wrote. “I have no words to say thank you,” she added.
Last Sunday (23) Joelma announced the cancellation of all shows she had planned for the next few weeks. The decision was made after she got sick during a performance on Saturday (22).
“My babies, singing for you and being with you is what I love most. It has been almost 30 professional years of bringing this gift Heavenly Father gave me to the stage, but now I need to take care of my health to be able to return to 100%. Many thanks for everything! I love you,” she explained.
The company that manages the career of the Pará singer also commented: “Jshows, the office that manages the career of singer Joelma, reiterates that Joelma was unwell at Saturday night’s show due to a relapse.”
On July 10, Joelma was hospitalized in Bragança, inland from Pará. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance and had to cancel four shows. The singer had problems such as a cough, fever and difficulty breathing.
