Pregnant TikToker Lexy Burke and her country singer husband were rocked by a bullet that pierced their Nashville home on Sunday night – with security cameras recording the sound of the gun being loaded, cocked and fired.
Burke, a self-proclaimed “serial typesetter” who found fame during the pandemic, had been taking a bath upstairs when she heard the single shot – while her husband Austin Burke said he was sitting on the couch.
The couple, both 29, are expecting their first child in the fall – and say they felt the house shake when the shot rang out.
After calling the police, Austin, an Arizona-born country star with more than 200 million Spotify streams, recalled the anxiety he felt after being fired and told fans on social media that he was thinking , the noise was due to his wife falling in the shower.
Finally realizing that this was not the case, the couple looked at the footage from the stationed cameras and heard the frightening sound.
The gunman, still at large, could not be seen but left evidence of his visit – in the form of a bullet hole in the outside of the three-bedroom house.

“Someone shot my house tonight,” said the first part, which the pop singer published on social media late Sunday evening.
“Sat on the couch right where the bullet hit,” it said, revealing that Lexy was fine, “just very upset.”
Austin, whose hit “Crazy, Crazy” only debuted in April, further assured his approximately 124,000 followers: “Grateful that it was just the house and not one of us.”
In an update half a day later, the Buy You a Drink singer offered more insight into what actually happened – while also giving a better idea of how the police were handling the incident.
It aired around noon local time and read: “Last night I sat on the couch while Lexy took a bath upstairs.” We both heard gunshots and then our whole house shook.
“At first,” Austin continued, “I thought Lexy had fallen, and she thought the same thing about me.”
“Once we realized we were both physically fine, we looked at our cameras and heard someone loading up on our house, jerking off and shooting.”
“We immediately contacted Metro Police and when they arrived they examined the exterior of our home with flashlights. One of the officers immediately noticed the bullet hole.”
On location Monday, TMZ — the first to report the incident — managed to snag a photo of the hole, which could still be seen in the awning of the modest 1,836-square-foot home.
“Knowing that someone shot our house in the middle of the night while my pregnant wife was inside,” Austin observed, “is incredibly disturbing.”
