Jock Zonfrillo’s daughter Ava posts a heartbreaking tribute to the MasterChef Australia star as she continues to grapple with his shocking death: “Life is unfair I miss you dad.”
Jock Zonfrillo’s eldest daughter Ava has shared another memory of her father following his tragic death in April.
The 22-year-old paid a heartbreaking tribute to her late father on TikTok.
Ava has compiled several photos and videos of herself and Jock taken during their childhood up until shortly before his death.
She wrote: “I never thought I would lose you at 22. Life is unfair.’ I miss you daddy’.
The video started with a sweet photo of Jock hugging his baby daughter when she was just a kid.
It then moves on to some clips of the celebrity chef acting goofy over the years, including one where he sticks his tongue out at the camera.
TikTok users jumped to the comments on Ava’s video to offer her condolences.
One person wrote, “So sorry you lost Ava.” Jock has always been my favorite chef at MasterChef. “A true gentleman and an all round wonderful man.”

While another said: ‘Oh darling it’s so cruel and unfair that you had to lose him so young.’ You’re going to have an amazing life that would make him proud.’
And a third commented: “So sorry for your loss, he was a great man you should be proud.”
Jock died in a hotel room at Zagame’s House on Lygon Street in Carlton. He was found by police around 2am on Monday May 1st.
The tragic loss came on the same day that Channel Ten was scheduled to premiere the fifteenth season of MasterChef Australia.
He is survived by his third wife Lauren and his four children: adult daughters Ava and Sophia from his first two marriages, and Alfie and Isla with Lauren.

In May, Ava broke her silence on her father’s death with a heartbreaking tribute to the chef.
“I still can’t accept that we will remember you longer than we had you but that doesn’t mean we will love you any less,” Ava wrote under an Instagram post.
“I love you, dad, always.”
The post was accompanied by eight photos and two videos of Zonfrillo, some showing the father and daughter together from Ms. Zonfrillo’s childhood and some showing more recent snapshots.
