Kim Kardashian is leaving the internet split after first glimpsing herself as the new face of Marc Jacobs
Kim Kardashian received mixed reviews from social media users after announcing her first campaign as the new face of Marc Jacobs on Tuesday.
The shot, which focused on her right eye and plump pout, was shot by film director Tyrone Lebon and styled by creative director Alastair McKimm.
After the American fashion brand uploaded a stunning close-up shot of the 42-year-old reality star to its Instagram account, social media users were quick to share their thoughts on her new role.
While Marc Jacobs himself commented “Love” under the post, an overwhelming number of fans expressed their disappointment at the sight of Kardashian’s face.
“What happened to other models???” WHY KIM on everything? one asked, while another admitted he hoped the campaign was “some kind of a joke”.

Others questioned why the brand wasn’t collaborating with “real fashion icons” like Victoria Beckham.
Marc Jacobs’ previous campaigns have featured celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Winona Ryder, Pamela Anderson and Nicki Minaj.
Meanwhile, Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, posted the picture, as well as a video of a man putting up campaign posters in the street.
In May, she previously modeled for Marc Jacobs X Fendi.
Back then, Kim tagged #MarcJacobsXFendi and added @Fendi, @MrKimJones and @Silviaaventurinifendi.
Her look, consisting of a statement fur hat and a sleeveless corset crop top, from the Marc Jacobs X Fendi Summer 2023 Capsule collection, launched on May 11th.
Later that evening, Kardashian returned to Instagram to share an article titled, “Expert Opinion: 2023 Armenian Genocide.”
She had reposted a post from doctor Eric Esrailian urging his followers to share this account of Luis Moreno Ocampo.

Ocampo was the former Chief Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court.
Esrailian explained that Ocampo “argues that the blockade of the Lachin corridor through Azerbaijan should be considered genocide against the ethnic Armenians of Artsakh/Nagorno-Karabakh.”
“The government of Azerbaijan is using oil and gas to expel the Christian Armenian population from the region,” Esrailian continued.
On numerous occasions over the years, Kardashian has shared information about the Armenian Genocide to inform her followers of the more than “1.5 million people who were massacred” in 1915.
