The final season of Below Deck Down Under was rocked this week by a shocking sexual misconduct scandal that has seen two cast members fired from the popular reality series.
And while boatswain Luke Jones was taking all the heat, there was another crew member on board who was also pushing boundaries.
Laura Bileskalne, who was fired shortly after Luke, sparked outrage when she climbed into her comrade Adam Kodra’s bunk bed and attempted to massage him.
Adam had told Laura several times that he wasn’t interested in pursuing anything other than friendship with her, but the stubborn stewardess didn’t get the message.
“I have no interest in Laura at all,” Adam told producers. “I’ve told her a million times that I just want to be friends with her, but it just doesn’t get me to the point, so I don’t know what to do.”

He added, “It’s a bit awkward because we work together. ‘She needs to stop it.’
After a night of drinking, Laura followed Adam to his cabin, although he explained that she wasn’t allowed to sleep with him there.
“We have to close the door,” she pleaded, holding a tube of moisturizer.
As he climbed into the top bunk and tried to fall asleep, Laura started touching him before squeezing moisturizer onto his back to massage him.
She then climbed onto the bunk, after which the producers stepped in and ordered her to come down.
“Laura, I got a message from the producers to come over,” the cameraman informed her.

She then continued rubbing Adam’s back before a producer barged in and told her to step back and return to her own booth.
Laura crawled downstairs, but not before bending down to kiss the uninterested Adam on the cheek.
This all happened shortly after Luke was removed from Margot Sisson’s cabin by producers after he crawled into bed completely naked with her while she was half asleep after a night of drinking.
The following day, both Luke and Laura were released by Captain Jason Chambers.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time the Below Deck franchise has been embroiled in a sexual misconduct scandal.
Last year, Below Deck Sailing Yacht caused an uproar on social media after a controversial sexual encounter between two cast members.
Stewardess Ashley Marti had sex with the yacht’s first officer, Gary King, while he was heavily intoxicated, which many viewers found “inappropriate”.
Things started after the entire crew went out for a boozy dinner during their night off.

They quickly began flirting, with Ashley giving Gary a foot massage while Chief Engineer Colin Macrae and 2nd Stewardess Gabriela Barragán watched from a distance.
“Ashley is desperate for Gary,” Colin commented, while Gabby added, “It’s a game for her.” She said that to me with her own mouth.’
Things then escalated as the couple kissed before Ashley started straddling Gary in the hot tub.

Gary slurred his words and replied, “Oh yeah? Then go. Go then.’
Although the couple were not in front of the camera, microphones in the cabin picked up everything they said, while a stationary camera filmed the closed door from the outside.

At this point, Gary expressed that he wanted the encounter to end.

“It’s already in!” Ashley replied, while the drunk Gary continued to protest, “No, no.”

The next scene featured a shirtless Gary stumbling out of the cabin to return to his own bunk, which he shares with Colin and chef Marcos Spaziani.

“I couldn’t help it either,” he continued. “I was like, ‘I thought I’d come here for a massage!’

Speaking to producers about the situation, Ashley said, “I went down to give him a back rub.” That was the intention. And other things could have happened, but I don’t want to go into the details.”

A few hours later, Gary took Ashley aside to thoroughly discuss the incident.
“I think if that happens again we should try not to get so drunk because I want to be able to remember it and enjoy it,” he said.

Gary then discussed the night’s events with Chief Stewardess Daisy Kelliher.

The incident sparked outrage on social media, and many viewers felt there was a double standard when it came to gender.
