The trigger for Gomas’ collapse was apparently an argument with a relative she was traveling with, whom she accused of stealing her Airpods.

“The woman then began to claim that the plane was not safe and did not want the plane to leave because she believed it would not reach its destination,” the police report said.

“Based on the statements, the flight attendants felt that the aircraft needed to be checked again. [The airline manager] stated that the passenger was denied boarding and wanted to be escorted to the public side.”

She marched off the plane, but when TSA officers arrived to escort her back to the public side of the airport, the visibly upset woman tried to get back on.

Passengers on the plane eventually had to disembark and were checked again through security as a precaution.

Dallas Fort Worth Department of Safety officers tried to speak to a “distraught” Gomas, but she refused to cooperate.

She was eventually escorted back to the unsafe side of the airport but, despite her earlier hysteria, made repeated attempts to get through TSA control back into the boarding area.
