Suzanne Clément revealed a first image of the film on her Instagram page werewolveswhich she shot in Europe this summer with Frank Dubosc and Jean Reno.
This Netflix-produced adaptation of the board game Les Loups-garous de Thierceleux tells the story of a blended family who are projected into the Middle Ages after playing a game found in the back of an attic.
“Night is falling. The village falls asleep. The adventure begins,” Suzanne Clément wrote at the bottom of the photo, in which we see her surrounded by the other actors of the film in a medieval setting.
Filming for Werewolves took place in Prague, Czech Republic earlier this summer. Directed by François Uzan (one of the screenwriters of the Lupine series), it also stars Jonathan Lambert, Grégory Fitoussi, Raphael Romand and Alizee Caugnies.
An ambitious shoot
According to the newspaper Le Parisien, which witnessed the shooting in early July, the production involved more than 1,200 extras and the film’s monsters will be interpreted by real actors and not created in synthetic images. The Loups-Garous scenario is reminiscent of that of Jumanji or that of the popular saga The Visitors.
“We decided to make it an adventure and family film with humor and, of course, goosebumps,” director François Uzan told Le Parisien.
The film is scheduled for release on the Netflix platform in late 2024.
Meanwhile, Suzanne Clément has resumed filming on the daily series Stat, in which she plays emergency doctor Emmanuelle St-Cyr. The second season of Stat will be broadcast on ICI Télé from September 11th.
