Elton John needed a helping hand getting off his yacht as he went shopping at Gucci in Saint Tropez on Thursday.

The 76-year-old music legend sported one of his signature colorful looks as he headed out for the day with husband David Furnish.

Elton donned a colorful blue printed shirt and red shorts as he left his luxe liner to treat himself to some new designer pieces.

The Rocketman hitmaker was also spotted visiting restaurant Loulou with his wife as they make the most of their summer break.

After his final show of the Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour in July, Elton is clearly making the most of his retirement from touring life.

The tour, which began in 2018, was a roaring success for Elton, grossing $816,840,988 worldwide.

The star has decided to give up his career as he expresses a desire to spend more time with David and their children.

He said: “Touring is now exhausting for me and takes me away from my family and children.”

However, Elton added that he hasn’t given up performing for good and will likely still play “one show or the other” every now and then.

Family is important to Elton, who previously described his sons as “the greatest thing” in the lives of him and his husband David.

Speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2016, he said, “If you had said to me ten years ago that I was on your show, married to the man I love and have two beautiful children, I would have said, ‘ You.” Put acid in my drink.

“But life gives you challenges and life gives you surprises — great surprises — and these two children came at a time when I never thought I would ever have children.”

“There are no words to describe how much we love these guys. They are just amazing.’

On his 75th birthday, Elton wrote a letter to his sons, published in Time Magazine, calling them his “proudest achievements.”

He wrote, “Zachary and Elijah you two are the greatest gifts I’ve ever given.”

“You have filled my heart with love and my life with meaning and purpose in ways I never thought possible.”

“You guys are the accomplishments I’m most proud of and I love you both so much… Whoever you become, just be yourself — yours truly.”
