New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone used his sending off at Monday night’s game against the White Sox in Chicago to demonstrate his copycat skills (see video above).
In the eighth inning, the 50-year-old came out of his dugout to yell at home plate umpire Laz Diaz. He felt that the officer was wandering around with the strike zone.

The two men exchanged swear words for a long time. Boone then went to the plate and crouched to draw a line in the left-handed hitter’s box to mark where he thought Diaz had mistakenly called strikes.
The coach added something by putting himself in the umpire’s position on home plate and pretending to hit a batsman. He got up and quickly walked over to Diaz to yell and swear again.
The rest of the umpiring team and the Yankees bench coach eventually ended the scene by separating the two men.
The Bronx Bombers lost 5-1 in the first of a three-game series in guaranteed rate field.
