‘Overwhelmed’: Oprah Winfrey hands out supplies while Floyd Mayweather arranges for dozens of families to be flown to safety while celebrities help out in the aftermath of the Hawaii inferno

An “overwhelmed” Oprah Winfrey was left speechless when asked about the Hawaii wildfire disaster as she distributed relief supplies to survivors at a rescue center.

The 69-year-old talk show host donated pillows, diapers and shampoo bottles to people sheltering at Maui’s War Memorial Stadium after asking the victims what they needed.

Winfrey, 69, has lived part-time on Maui for more than 15 years and owns more than 2,000 acres with three separate properties on the island.

“It’s overwhelming…but I’m really pleased that so many people are supporting…bring what they can and doing what they can.”

“I used to just drop by to see what people need and then go shopping because a lot of times you donate clothes or whatever and it’s not really what people need.” Went to Walmart and Costco and got pillows, shampoo, diapers, sheets and pillowcases.”

Meanwhile, boxing legend Floyd Mayweather reportedly helped around 70 families get to safety while providing people with shelter, food and clothes to wear, TMZ reported.

The 46-year-old also helps out for several weeks arranging hotel rooms, buys groceries from local restaurants and works with H&M to provide clothes.

Her help comes a day after some Maui residents questioned where the island’s wealthiest landowners are – and what they would do to help.

Along with Oprah, other big names with homes on Maui include Jeff Bezos, Larry Ellison, Clint Eastwood and Steven Tyler.

Bezos’ fiancee Lauren Sanchez posted on Instagram that the fires “broke her heart.” With a net worth of $162 billion, he is the third richest man in the world. Bezos owns a $78 million estate on Maui’s southwest shore.

A source close to the couple told they were “devastated” by the disaster.

“Since yesterday they have been on the phone with local people and local officials.” “They will be donating to help the community,” they said.

Oprah, worth $2.5 billion, owns nearly 5,000 acres of land on Maui and has lived there part-time for the past 15 years. It is unclear if any part of their land was damaged.

She bought the most recent property – 860 acres – in March of this year for $6.6 million. Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler also has a home on the island, as does Owen Wilson and Clint Eastwood.

Larry Ellison owns 98 percent of the nearby island of Lanai. Mark Zuckerberg owns a huge house on the island of Kauai. He has not yet commented on the disaster.

Fleetwood Mac’s Mick Fleetwood saw his Lahaina restaurant – Fleetwood’s on Front Street – burn to the ground.

In a statement on social media, Mick said, “Maui and the Lahaina community have been my home for several decades.”

“This is a devastating moment for Maui and many are suffering unimaginable losses.”

“Fleetwood’s on Front Street has been lost and while we are heartbroken, our main priority is the safety of our dear employees and team members.”
