Lindsay Shiver says life has been “really tough” after she was accused of plotting to kill her husband with her Bahamian lover and a hitman, according to the New York Post.
Shiver, 36, and her bartender friend Terrance Bethel, 28, are accused of plotting with suspected hitman Faron Newbold, 29, to murder Robert Shiver while he was vacationing in the Abaco Islands.
As part of her $100,000 bail agreement, Shiver was spotted checking in with authorities at the Nassau, Bahamas Police Department, where she told the outlet, “It’s been really tough.”
She stared blankly, eyes glazed and expressionless, at a police mugshot taken after her arrest and obtained by – but when she spoke to the outlet she appeared to have changed clothes for the first time in over a week .
The mother-of-three wore a white Nike cap, gray hoodie and black sweatpants for the occasion.

“I really can’t say much at the moment. It was hard. But I can’t talk about it,” she told the outlet, adding that she was advised against it by her lawyers in the case.
Shiver also carried a Manila envelope when she arrived at the precinct in a rented Kia sedan.
“Now I’ve got problems with my car.” That’s what I have to deal with now about everything else. But I really can’t say more. I’m sorry. “Thank you for your respect,” she explained before heading to her rented apartment.
Shiver is expected to stay at her home between 8pm and 5am and report to local authorities three times a week.
She is also required to remain in Nassau while awaiting a court date in October, and is prohibited from contacting or coming within 100 feet of her husband.
Sources told the Post that after nearly three weeks in jail, she is likely to have relatives visit her.
Prosecutors say the trio discussed the attempted attack on WhatsApp before Shiver sent Newbold a photo of Robert, who filed for divorce in April, along with the instruction, “Kill him.”

She must live in a rented property in Nassau, report to the police three times a week, observe a curfew from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. and stay no more than 30 meters from her estranged husband.
“I order your immediate release as all conditions are met,” the judge told Shiver, who timidly replied, “OK,” but said nothing more during the 10-minute hearing.

Her family and friends begged her to “come to her senses” and end the affair when Robert found out and filed for divorce, according to a well-informed source.
At the time, his wife, to whom he had been married for 13 years, was “completely obsessed” with the handsome, younger man, it said.
In an exclusive chat with this week, Bethel declared his love for Shiver and said the marriage was hanging in the balance long before his release.
He predicted that the case against her would fail because the police exaggerated some heated statements.
“Go and get the logs from the police,” the bartender and businessman said in his first public statement.
“They’ve both had my phones for three weeks. You’ve gone through every single message – there’s nothing.
“None of us have anything to hide. “People take everything at face value and defame us.”
In order to convince the jury of their guilt, prosecutors must prove that the three were involved in a credible conspiracy and not just fled.
The plan came about by accident when management at Grabbers, a rum-soaked waterfront bar where Bethel employees first met with a vacation shiver, reported a burglary to police around July 20.
Fox Hill, also known as the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services, suffers from “overcrowding, poor nutrition, inadequate sanitation, poor ventilation and inadequate medical supplies,” according to the US State Department.

Fearing the work of an insider, cops insisted on checking Bethel’s phone and came across messages in which he allegedly told his childhood friend Newbold that he wanted to “murder” Robert.
Sources say Shiver suspected her estranged husband was using influence to make life difficult for her new lover.
She allegedly sent Newbold a picture of Robert along with an alleged order to assassinate him, leading to all three being arrested on July 21 and flown to Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, to face charges.
The two men were released on $20,000 bail last week.
Linsay and Robert Shiver were scheduled to face off in Thomas County Superior Court on July 20, where they filed explosive counterclaims against each other in a hostile custody battle.
While Robert accused his wife of cheating, she countered with allegations of “physical and mental cruelty”.
Shiver claimed their alleged affair took place during a period of separation and was “condoned by the law of the husband,” according to court documents.
Her attorney suspected that Robert acted abusively, writing in a request for a restraining order, “(Lindsay) feels unsafe in the marital home and has put locks on the interior doors of the home for protection.”
“(Robert) abused the woman at home in the presence of the children on numerous occasions, not only physically but also mentally and emotionally.”
A native of Alabama, Shiver graduated from Auburn University, where the two met in 2007 when Robert was captain of the football team.

The couple have three sons together, the youngest is just four years old. He proudly mentions his children on his Instagram profile with the caption: “Dad of the trio!”
Robert signed as a free agent with NFL team Atlanta Falcons but was fired due to roster cuts before the 2009 season and eventually became Executive Vice President of Senior Life Insurance Company.
Lindsay was named Miss Houston County in 2005 and placed second at the National Peanut Festival.

No charges have been filed in connection with the alleged robbery at Grabbers.
