Jeff Bezos is buying a home in Florida’s ‘Billionaire Bunker’ after paying $68 million to live in the Miami neighborhood of Ivanka Trump and Tom Brady

Jeff Bezos is the youngest occupant of South Florida’s “billionaires’ bunker” – after paying $68 million for a house in the neighborhood of Ivanka Trump and Tom Brady.

The third richest man in the world, 59, bought a waterfront mansion in Indian Creek Village on Miami’s Biscayne Bay in June and kept his identity a secret at the time.

The three-bedroom man-made barrier island property spans 6 acres and was built in 1965.

It was previously owned by a Panama-affiliated company called MTM Star International, which acquired it in 1982 for $1.4 million.

The Amazon founder, who has been living the good life with fiancée Lauren Sanchez since leaving Amazon, is looking to buy more properties in the area, an anonymous source told Bloomberg.

Bezos, valued at $195 billion, has a growing real estate profile worth nearly $600 million, which includes a $165 million Beverly Hills mansion, a $78 million Hawaiian mansion and owns three Manhattan apartments with a combined value of $30 million.

The billionaire also owns one of the world’s most expensive superyachts, the Koru, on which he and Sanchez spent the summer across the Mediterranean.

Known as a hotspot for the country’s richest people, the Miami borough has an average home price of $29.5 million and a population of just under 40.

Indian Creek Island has been billed as “the most exclusive community in the world” with only 34 properties available on 300 acres.

It’s also become a hotbed for celebrities, with Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen building an “eco-mansion” there before their split last year.

The home Brady will reportedly keep is not far from Ivanka and Jared Kushner, who bought a $30 million property on the island from musician Julio Iglesias in late 2020.

Aptly nicknamed the “Billionaires’ Bunker,” the island is home to hotel magnate Jeffrey Soffer, activist Carl Icahn, and Hotels.com founder Robert Diener.

Even Jay Z and Beyoncé, the music power couple, once called the island home.

Former Miami Dolphins coach Don Shula, who died in 2020, also owned property there.

Bezos will now be the richest billionaire in the so-called Billionaire Bunker.

Each property boasts a waterfront location and stunning views, but the most desirable feature is security.

Accessible only by a single guarded bridge, it has a private police force patrolling the community 24 hours a day on foot, in the air, and on land.

The island has its own police force guarding all facilities, including a private 18-hole golf course, and patrolling boats and jet skis 24 hours a day.

Bezos and Sanchez got engaged earlier this year, with the mogul proposing aboard his $500 million superyacht.

At 417 feet long and 230 feet tall, Koru is one of the largest sailing yachts in the world, complete with a 250-foot supply vessel that has its own helipad.
