The BAUER Re-Akt helmet is now available to the general public

National Hockey League (NHL) stars such as Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield and Cale Makar wore the BAUER Re-Akt helmet last season and lo and behold, the piece of gear that excels in its customization aspect is now available for all sports enthusiasts.

This new helmet, more comfortable and safer as it adapts to all heads but also better for air circulation, is the latest addition to the MyBAUER collection. The skates, sticks and goalie equipment of this new series, which is characterized by its three-dimensional printing, have already been sold by the equipment manufacturer.

“Whether they’re elite athletes, natural hockey players, or smaller hockey players, no two heads are the same,” senior brand executive Matthew Desjardins said in a statement. This allows Bauer to offer custom helmets to all hockey players who want maximum fit, protection and performance for their game.”

When purchasing a Re-Akt helmet, the player’s head is scanned to create “a 3D-printed liner from patented digital foam custom-made for each head”. In general, the product can be delivered within 30-45 days.

The product is designed and assembled at the BAUER Innovation Center in Blainville.
