Vanna White, longtime Wheel Of Fortune co-host, will be absent from a number of upcoming episodes of the series.
According to Puck News, the popular game show is set to resume with a new person to represent it after the 66-year-old TV star contracted Covid-19 in late July.
Rather than postponing filming of the episodes until she recovered, the producers opted to move on.
They reportedly contacted Teacher of the Year award winner Bridgette Donald-Blue after offering her the job – presumably on a temporary basis – on several episodes, most likely the six episodes that are normally shot in a single day.
But White’s brief sacking comes as she continues to negotiate her contract with the series, after years of going without a raise and earning a fraction of what her former co-host Pat Sajak made, even as Ryan Seacrest in his role enter.
