According to the report, a Massachusetts doctor has been arrested for allegedly masturbating next to a 14-year-old girl on a flight from Hawaii New York Post.
Sudipta Mohanty, a 33-year-old man from Cambridge, was arrested Thursday and charged with committing the lewd act on Hawaiian Airlines Flight 90 in May 2022. The flight departed from Honolulu to Boston, according to the Massachusetts US Attorney’s Office.
The doctor sat next to the teenager who was traveling with her grandparents.
According to court records, the girl noticed mid-flight that Sudipta Mohanty had covered herself up to her neck with a blanket and was bouncing her leg.
The camouflage finally stopped hiding the man, who kept running until he ejaculated.
When the man went to the plane’s toilet, the girl sat in an empty seat in a different row for the rest of the flight because she felt “disgusting and very uncomfortable.”
Upon landing, the teenager informed her family and the authorities.
The doctor appeared in federal court in Boston on Thursday after being charged with lewd acts and indecency.
The charges face up to 90 days in prison and a fine of up to $5,000 in a special aircraft jurisdiction.
Sudipta Mohanty was conditionally released. In particular, he must keep away from minors.
