A Florida congressman has filed an impeachment hearing against Joe Biden over allegations that the president helped his son Hunter commit crimes and covered them up.
Rep. Greg Steube, a Republican, filed four articles alleging that the President was guilty of using his position as Vice President to facilitate his son Hunter’s alleged crimes and protect family members from the law.
In a statement released Friday, the staunch Trump ally said it was “long time to impeach Joe Biden.”
“He has undermined the integrity of his office, brought disrepute to the presidency, betrayed his trust as president, and acted at the expense of the American people in ways that undermine the rule of law and justice,” the statement said.
“The evidence mounts by the day – the Biden crime family has personally benefited from Joe’s government positions through bribes, threats and fraud.” “Joe Biden cannot be allowed to remain in the White House and sell out our country.”
Florida Congressman Greg Steube, pictured in April, said he instituted impeachment procedures because it was “long time” to remove Biden from the White House
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, he listed the reasons for his push to impeach Biden as follows: “bribery.” Blackmail. obstruction of justice. Fraud. Financial involvement in drugs and prostitution.’
Steube claimed President Biden used his influence as vice president to enrich his son, Hunter
In the first impeachment case filed by Steube, Biden is accused of abusing his position as vice president by accepting bribes related to Hunter and his brother James’ business activities between 2009 and 2017.
The pair are accused of selling access to Biden during his tenure as vice president. James and Hunter received hundreds of thousands of dollars from a Chinese energy company in 2017.
Hunter also held a well-paid position on the board of directors of Ukrainian energy company Burisma, although he had little knowledge of the energy industry.
Steube pointed to the suspicious business dealings in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, citing “bribery.” Extortion as reasons for his push to indict Biden. obstruction of justice. Fraud. Financial involvement in drugs and prostitution.’
Article two of the impeachment allegations that Biden obstructed a federal investigation into Hunter’s alleged tax crimes.
Hunter has denied paying federal taxes on $4.4 million of income in 2017 and 2018.
He was supposed to have accepted a deal with his sweetheart, but a Delaware judge threw it out last month, fearing the terms were too broad and favorable to the first son.
IRS whistleblower Joseph Ziegler claims the Justice Department prevented the tax authorities’ investigation into Hunter Biden’s alleged financial impropriety.

The other two articles by Steube allege that the President committed fraud and also paid for his wayward son’s drug addiction.
He has skipped at least four other GOP-led investigative committees against Biden that could trigger a separate impeachment trial.
President Biden has denied all allegations of wrongdoing.
Florida lawmakers have also passed legislation they hope will force the Secret Service to issue a report on cocaine found in the White House.
Drugs were found in the West Wing in early July, and the Secret Service sparked disbelief when they claimed they couldn’t figure out who put the substances in one of the world’s most heavily monitored buildings.
Last week, the Soldier of Fortune website claimed that the drugs likely came from “someone close to the Biden family” and that the president knows who owns them.
Steube called his draft law on the cocaine scandal “Helping Understand Narcotics Traces at the Executive Residence (HUNTER) Act”. The President’s son was battling a well-known crack cocaine addiction but was reportedly not in the White House at the time.
Steube also introduced a bill addressing the Secret Service’s failure to find the perpetrator who brought cocaine into the White House last month. He called it “Helping Understand Narcotics Traces at the Executive Residence (HUNTER) Act”.
The impeachment cases are not the first to be filed against President Biden. More than a dozen have already been filed against the President and his officials during his tenure.
Some have speculated that Republican lawmakers pushed for impeachment in retaliation for the two impeachment trials against Donald Trump in 2017 and 2021.
Speaking of attempts to remove Biden from office, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said last month, “We’re not going to go into what House Republicans may or may not want to do — hypotheses.”
“It’s up to them.” That’s something they can talk about. What I can say is exactly what we are doing today.
“Economic data is much better than economists were expecting. And that’s because of the work that this President has done.
“That’s going to be our focus.” “Our focus is going to be what we can do to make life a little better for Americans and give them extra freedom.”
