Daisy May Cooper has responded to recent James Bond cast rumours.
In a new interview, the 37-year-old actress confirmed that she definitely aspires to play the role of spy boss “M” in the next 007 episode.
When asked if she was hoping to get the part, Daisy May made no attempt to hide her desires, replying, “Yeah, give me a friggin’ part!”
The comedy genius quipped, “Get over there, Dench,” while agreeing that she’d be great at taking on a younger version of the character played by Dame Judi Dench.
This comes after it was reported back in March that Daisy May was in talks to star in the James Bond film as the 007 boss.

Speaking to NME, Daisy May explained how the rumor started and admitted she would jump at the opportunity if offered the role.
“I think it was on the radio … they were arguing about who should be the next M, and then somebody mentioned my name and it just went like freaking wildfire from there.”
When suggested she’d be great at playing a younger version of the character, she replied, ‘Yeah, give me a frigging role.’ Move over, Dench!’
This comes after it was reported back in March that Daisy May was in talks to star in the James Bond film as the 007 boss.
The actress is said to have attracted the attention of production executives, who hope she will bring some humor and unique style to the role.
The opportunity is said to have arisen after Daisy’s good friend Phoebe Waller-Bridge joined the production as a script consultant.
Bosses are apparently keen to revamp the films after Daniel Craig left the role of James Bond following the release of his latest film No Time To Die in September 2021.
A source told The Sun: “Daisy is a close friend of Phoebe’s whose involvement in Bond was so successful it sparked an unlikely conversation.”

“Suddenly the production team was excited at the prospect of really taking ‘M’ in a different direction.”
“With Daniel gone, it seemed time to confront change across the board, and the dynamic between Bond and ‘M’ is central to the films.”
“It opens the door for things to be a little lighter and more comedic in the future – and of course it will also impact the direction the new 007 takes.”
At the time, Web contacted a representative from Daisy and EON Productions for comment.
This comes after Taron Egerton said he didn’t think he was the “right choice” to replace Daniel Craig as 007.
He told The Daily Telegraph newspaper: “I don’t think I’m the right choice for this.” To be that guy you have to be statuesque at all times. And that’s something I’m still striving for. “I’ve always struggled with my weight.”
The award-winning actor added that playing Bond “is a little bit like being not only an actor but also a brand ambassador.” And that could be really fun in a microcosm, but I’m sure I’ve read that [producer] Barbara Broccoli said it’s a 15-year commitment.
Taron also revealed he wasn’t approached for the role, admitting, “It kind of doesn’t matter what I think about it anyway because I can tell you there haven’t been any calls.”
