Neighbors star Madeleine West announces a surprise career move following the success of her true crime podcast
Former Neighbors star Madeleine West recently launched the true crime podcast Predatory in hopes of raising awareness of child abuse.
And on Saturday, the former soap star, 44, took to Instagram to announce her surprise new career move as she continues her quest for justice.
“I am proud to announce my appointment to the advisory board of Crime Stoppers International, which specializes in combating child exploitation,” she began.
She said she wanted to help victims find the courage to speak out about the abuse they were experiencing and raise awareness of the serious issue.
“Change is only possible when there is evidence of it.” “I ask anyone who experienced this horrific crime, was stalked, assaulted, bullied or bullied to share their story anonymously,” she added.

Many of West’s celebrity friends immediately congratulated her on her bold career move.
“Proud to know you,” wrote comedian Janelle Koenig, while Offspring star Kat Stewart posted some love heart emojis.
Back in January, West said she was sexually abused by a “monster” as a child and subsequently started a true crime podcast to raise awareness of the difficult issue.

The actress made her story public after decades of keeping it secret so she could help other sufferers.
West has said that the alleged perpetrator lived in the same town as her and that the abuse was regular – sometimes even daily. She gave no further details of the attack and did not name the alleged perpetrator.
She told The Sun of the alleged abuse: “This monster has ruined my life.” I came out the other side, albeit a survivor, but happy to hold the title of victim.
“Today I am very proud to announce my appointment to the advisory board of Crime Stoppers International, which specializes in combating child exploitation,” West began
“Justice can be achieved.” It was never your fault and never will be, you are not to blame.’
Together with ex-detective Gary Jubelin she started the podcast “Predatory” to draw attention to the topic of pedophilia.
The mother-of-six told fans her podcast will serve as a “checklist” for parents on how to spot predatory behavior towards children.
The star is also calling for a national public child sex registry in Australia and will campaign for changes in the law to give victims fair compensation.
