Coronation Street star Ellie Leach ‘uses Strictly Come Dancing to recover from heartbreak’ after split from ‘cheating’ ex-boyfriend: ‘It gave her something to smile about’
Ellie Leach has reportedly joined the cast of Strictly Come Dancing to heal her heartache after splitting from her “cheating” ex-boyfriend Reagan Pettman.
Sources have revealed the BBC Ballroom and Latin competitions helped the former Coronation Street star put a smile back on her face.
Ellie Leach, 22, who quit her role as Faye Windass earlier this year after a decade with the Cobbles, split from her dancer boyfriend in May over “cheating allegations.”
According to The Mirror, a source said: “She found out Reagan had acted behind her back and they split.” It was very sad, but trust was lost for them and there was no going back for them as a couple.
“Ellie is a really positive person and always has a smile on her face – but it’s been a difficult time.” So it’s been great that she ended up on Strictly, it’s really given her something to smile about.”

It has also been reported that Ellie has split from her boyfriend of five years, Reagan, after “taking time to think about where her life is going” after leaving Corrie.
Sources claimed Ellie could embrace the so-called “Strictly Curse,” which sees stars fall in love with their dance partners.
A source told The Sun: “This could be just the thing for Ellie who’s been going through some big life changes this year and could use something new to focus on.”
“Ellie has the world at her feet after breaking up with Corrie and has taken the time to reflect on where her life is headed.”
“Ellie and Reagan decided to call it quits and she’s making the most of her single status.”
