This is reported by media outlet The Guardian, which has identified 30 babies who suffered “suspicious” incidents at a hospital where Ms Letby worked.

The latter would have been present at each of these events.

The police would therefore have widened their investigations to include young patients born in the other hospitals where they worked.

These 30 children join the 17 infants identified in the long, 10-month trial of the former nurse.

She has already been found guilty of killing seven babies and attempting to murder six others.

According to AFP, she is considered the most prolific child serial killer in modern British history and faces a life sentence.

Ms Letby will receive her sentence on Monday but the police investigation is ongoing.
