Tina Arena brutally attacked by left-leaning ABC viewers ahead of scheduled Q+A appearance – angry Twitter mob dubs her ‘Scott Morrison’s girl’

Left-leaning ABC supporters are furious that public broadcaster Tina Arena invited to appear on Monday night’s “Q+A” panel discussion on current affairs.

Viewers flocked to Twitter to slam the singer-songwriter for comments she previously made about Daniel Andrews’ long Covid lockdowns.

They also hinted that she is socially conservative because former Prime Minister Scott Morrison is a fan of her music.

“Ah no Tina was Scotty’s girl how about someone with a little credibility,” tweeted one viewer of Tina, who has sold 10 million records worldwide.

“Maybe a duet with her biggest fan, member of Cook?” yet another wrote. “Scotty as a backup with the ukulele?” another added.

The Sorrento Moon hitmaker, who has charted in Australia since the early 1990s, endured even more wrath from viewers.

She had previously spoken out against Melbourne’s strict lockdowns, admitting she broke them by flouting the infamous “five kilometer radius” rule.

Several critics have described her as a “cooker” – a common left-wing slur implying that a person’s views are “cooked” or unrelated to reality.

“Queen of the herd,” one scolded. “No thanks, don’t watch anti-lockdown and anti-health people but she fits in with liberal propaganda broadcaster ABC.”

“You’re really determined to cancel #QANDA aren’t you,” wrote another. ‘No. And just when I thought Q and A was worth seeing again.’

Former Prime Minister Scott Morrison has openly expressed his love for Tina Arena, calling her his “favorite singer” in the past.

During a radio interview with the GOLD104.3 Christian O’Connell Breakfast Show in September 2020, Scott praised the singer.

“I’m a big Tina Arena fan,” cooed the then-Prime Minister when asked if he had a song request for the station.

“She’s my favorite Melburnian and a great Australian artist.” I’ve always enjoyed Overload, one of her recent albums, but play me anything by Tina Arena and I’m happy,” he added.

When asked if Tina was his favorite artist, the politician admitted, “I have my Tina Arena playlist, all my favorites are there.”

Tina has certainly become less popular with ABC viewers after taking more conservative political positions during Covid.

During an interview with The Weekend Australia in July, the singer questioned the logic of Melbourne’s long lockdowns and “radius rules”.

“Why can’t you drive more than five kilometers?” Guess what – watch me. So I did. I left my five kilometers behind me. Am I a criminal now? wanna pull me up pull me up Do you want to fine me? Good for me. “I’m not the one with the problem here,” she said.

“The problem is that there is no logic.” You have no right to that. You fine me. This is totalitarian. That’s not how we work.’

Focusing on the level of compliance with the rules, Tina said she has stayed open during lockdown.

“During the lockdown, I haven’t heard anyone but me complaining: ‘Why are we locked up? Where’s your science? What? Why?” The fear was so great for me; “It choked me, I thought I can’t take it that you all are so fear driven and so indulgent,” she said.

Tina will soon embark on her Love Saves world tour, which will include stops in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Gold Coast and Adelaide.

The star will also have international dates, including in New York, Los Angeles, Montreal, Paris and London.
