The exact date King Charles and Prince Harry will “meet for peace talks” has been set, a source claims – but it’s “highly unlikely” that Meghan Markle will be there

The exact date when King Charles and Prince Harry are likely to “meet for peace talks” has been announced – but Meghan Markle is unlikely to be there, according to a well-informed source.

Prince Harry, 38, is reportedly due to fly back to California via London next month when his Invictus Games concludes in Germany.

Meanwhile, the 74-year-old king is due to return from his summer holiday in Balmoral in mid-September, meaning both the monarch and his youngest son will be in the British capital at the same time.

It is therefore believed that following the release of the Duke of Sussex’s explosive memoir ‘Spare’ and the Netflix docuseries of him and his wife, the pair could meet in hopes of soothing tensions within the royal family.

Staffers are reportedly making plans for the “peace talks” to take place on September 17 ahead of the king’s trip to France on September 20, a source told OK! Magazine.

The source said: “King Charles is expected to return to London from Balmoral in mid-September, to coincide with the end of Harry’s Invictus Games trip to Dusseldorf.”

“The King has a scheduled official visit to France on September 20 and will therefore have a few days to meet his son in London.” Staff are currently trying to finalize the details.

The insider added that Charles also appears to have been upset by his son’s claims in his memoir, Spare — particularly the claims about his wife Queen Camilla, who Harry believed “had sacrificed me on her personal PR altar.” had”.

“If the talks take place, the king will make it very clear that there will be absolutely no private family business in the public eye going forward,” they told OK!.

In fact, it was reported that Camilla herself was “hurt” by the book’s content, which one of her closest friends called her “dangerous” and a “bad guy.”

“Of course it bothers her, of course it hurts,” Fiona, the Marchioness of Lansdowne – who was one of the Queen’s official attendants at the King’s coronation – told the Sunday Times.

“But she won’t let it get to her. Their philosophy is always, “Don’t worry and it will settle down – least said, quickest fixed.”

Although Meghan is reportedly accompanying Harry to the Invictus Games, the source said it was “highly unlikely” that she would be involved in any “peace talks” between Harry and the king.

Earlier this year, other insiders expressed their belief that a reconciliation between Harry, Prince William and their father was not out of the question.

“It’s fixable,” they told the Times. “Both sides have to put their hands up and admit, ‘We didn’t do everything right, and we got a lot wrong’… It requires flexibility on all sides, but it can be done.”

“It takes Harry over here, in the room with the King and Prince of Wales, some other family members, some of ‘his people’ who he trusts and who have always had his back so he doesn’t think he’s being mugged becomes.”

However, winning over the Prince of Wales may be a little more difficult, the source added.

Harry had shared deeply personal memories of fraternal arguments, revealed text messages between his wife Meghan and the Princess of Wales during their now infamous bridesmaid dress row and accused the future king and queen of endorsing his Nazi costume.

Still, the royal source says William’s ultimate loyalty is to his country and he will reconcile if he believes it’s best for the monarchy’s future.

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, will take the stage during the Games closing ceremony in September.

Meghan will moderate the Lifestories Scene section, which will provide insights into the bravery and resilience of the injured servicewomen and men who compete against each other.

Their contribution will be “poignant” and will serve as a testament to the Games’ ability to transform lives, organizers said, according to The Telegraph.

Meanwhile, Harry will give a farewell speech at the closing ceremony in Dusseldorf, Germany, which is set to take place on September 16th.

The king will appear to praise the rivals’ “unwavering spirit and impressive journey of recovery”.
