Comedian Mathieu Dufour’s vacation to the Magdalen Islands got off to a hilarious start when he left the airport in the air traffic controller’s vehicle, thinking it was his rental vehicle.
“Nobody told me that in the Magdalen Islands the world left their tanks unlocked with the keys inside,” he exclaimed via his Instagram account yesterday, clearly still stunned by his mishap.
That’s because the rental vehicle Mathieu Dufour had reserved was supposed to be waiting for him and his pal with the doors and keys unlocked in the cabin, very close to the vehicle he accidentally stole on the Îles-de-Madeleine .
It was only minutes after telling the landlord that he had taken possession of the car that he informed them that it was not his car.
“We were out for ten minutes, the music playing in the background; We’ve lived our best life,” says the comedian. “My girlfriend’s face changed when she got the text that it wasn’t the right vehicle,” Dufour continues, using the storytelling talent we know from him.
” PARDY !? We stole a tank at the airport! ”he exclaims in his Instagram video.
Fortunately, the two travelers were able to return the car, which ultimately belonged to the air traffic controller at the airport, without being pursued by law enforcement. They then confiscated the correct vehicle.
This air traffic controller had no reservations and contacted Dufour to say that he thought it was a “very nice story”.
“My holiday begins in the style of Mathieu Dufour,” concludes the comedian from Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean.
