According to court documents released Monday, former US President Donald Trump is scheduled to post $200,000 bail in a Georgia court to charge him with his actions in the 2020 election in the key southeastern state.

Mr Trump and his 18 co-defendants in the case have until noon on Friday to report to the Fulton County Court jail in Atlanta, the state capital.
Given that deadline, his attorneys have agreed to post bail of $200,000, without specifying the date he will appear in court.

Four other of his co-defendants also agreed to post bail of between $10,000 and $100,000 each.
Posting bail does not allow suspects to be remanded in custody provided they do not break the law, refrain from threats, and communicate only through their attorneys.
A grand jury appointed on Aug. 14 by Atlanta County Attorney Fani Willis — a panel of citizens with investigative powers — indicted Mr. Trump and 18 others on Aug. 14 for their alleged wrongful attempts to reverse the outcome of the… Current elections won in this state of 2020 to reach Democratic President Joe Biden.
They are being prosecuted under an organized crime law that carries prison terms of between five and twenty years.
This is the fourth criminal indictment against the former president, who is running for the White House again and remains the Republican primary pick.
