Weathergirl Sian Lloyd has revealed she has a mystery boyfriend she’s been with for five years.
The 65-year-old TV host said in a new interview that their relationship is “fantastic” and that the two are really happy together, but that she won’t reveal his identity.
This comes after she split from her ex-husband, racing entrepreneur Jonathan Ashman, in 2015 after seven years together.
Explaining their love affair to Bella Magazine, she said, “We met through friends and have been together for almost five years.” It’s absolutely amazing and we’re really happy together.
“I hadn’t dated a partner before him for about four years and that’s why in 2018 I did the TV show Our Shirley Valentine Summer with a bevy of the likes of Ingrid Tarrant, Lizzie Cundy and Annabel Giles.

“We all went to a Greek island – it was supposed to be in search of love, but it really wasn’t.” ITV pulled out all the stops for us and it was great to do it with such a lovely bunch of women.
“But the point is, I was single at the time and you have to be with the right person, so I was willing to wait for the right person.’ I didn’t want to take old Tom, Dick or Harry.’
Her split from Jonathan comes two years after she was devastated after turning up “uninvited” to her stepdaughter Suzanne Ashman’s wedding to Euan Blair, the former Prime Minister’s son.
Sian, who presented weather reports on ITV for 24 years, moved out of the £2.5million home she shared with Jonathan in Kensington, west London, after the split and returned to their five-bedroom home in Wales .
In March 2015, Sian took legal action over Mr Ashman’s London property, preventing him from selling it without her consent.
Curiously, the couple were also bound by a court order that allowed them to discuss details of their split with each other.
A friend said: “Sian has separated from her husband and returned to her native Wales. Although they have been married for seven years, their marriage has broken down.’
Sian met Jonathan in 2007 and was smitten when he proposed marriage in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania after a tumultuous 10-month romance.

He told her they were going to a classic car rally, but instead stunned her with an offer of marriage. At the time, Sian said, “I feel like the luckiest person alive.” I know I’ve met the right person — talk about saving the best for last.”
The couple tied the knot in the Welsh village of Portmeirion in Gwynedd, the setting of the cult 1960s TV series The Prisoner.
A photo of Sian in a cream dress trimmed with brown fur emerged after it was taken by a fellow guest at her hotel.
The intimate ceremony was attended by just seven guests, including actor Stifyn Parri and opera singer Bryn Terfel.
Ms Lloyd’s wedding came a year after she famously left her fiancé Lembit Opik, who was then a Liberal Democrat MP and called him a ‘barfly’ because of his fondness for drinking.
Within weeks, she made the humiliating discovery that he was professing his love for Gabriela Irimia, who was half her age and a member of raunchy Romanian pop duo The Cheeky Girls.
When asked how he felt on the day of Ms Lloyd’s wedding, Mr Opik said: “I don’t mean to be rude but Sian has spoken a great deal about me and my relationship with Gabriela over the past 14 months.”

“I hope that now that she’s married she can really move on … She has decided to end her relationship with me and I respect that.”
But Ms Lloyd suffered another setback in 2013 because of the Blair wedding. While Mr Ashman’s ex-wife was present as the bride’s mother, it was made clear that Ms Lloyd would not be welcome at the Blairs’ £4million Buckinghamshire mansion.
At the time, a close friend of Ms Lloyd’s said: “She was basically and without fuss uninvited.”
“All she knows is that she received a wedding invitation with her name embossed on it and now she won’t be going – and she doesn’t know why… she’s devastated.”
