Rudy Giuliani, a former attorney for Donald Trump who has now been charged, turned himself in to authorities in Atlanta on Wednesday in an attempt to overturn the results of Georgia’s 2020 election, a day ahead of the former president.

The 19 co-defendants in this criminal case have until Friday noon to present themselves to local authorities at an Atlanta jail. Since the beginning of the week, the American press has followed the arrival of almost all of the accused, except for Trump on Thursday.
“I’m a big boy, I can resist that. I’ve fought much worse fights,” the former federal prosecutor and former mayor of this city put into perspective the importance of this meeting.
He, Donald Trump and 17 others are being charged by the Fulton County District Attorney, where Georgia’s capital Atlanta is located, with alleged unlawful attempts to reverse the state’s 2020 election result.
They are being prosecuted under an organized crime law that carries prison terms of between five and twenty years.
As of Wednesday morning, six people had already gone to the Fulton County jail to report as prisoners, be fingerprinted and pose for a mug shot or mugshot before being released on bail.
“I’m going to have my picture taken. Is not that great? “A mugshot for the man who probably put the worst criminals of the 20th century in prison,” wryly put it to Rudy Giuliani, known for his anti-mafia campaign in New York. “You will dishonor yourself by shooting me.”
“I don’t know how many times Donald Trump has to prove his innocence,” he added of his former client, who faces four criminal charges.
Trump, a White House candidate and big favorite in the Republican primary whose debate he turned down Wednesday night, said he will travel to Atlanta on Thursday.
