In fact, the legendary British group posed as a window repair company to promote a new album.
The mysterious advert, which appeared in a local London newspaper on behalf of the Hachney Diamonds company, references several of the group’s achievements.
“Our friendly team promises you satisfaction. [Satisfaction] As soon as you say “give me shelter” [Gimme Shelter] “We come to fix your broken windows,” we can read.

The store will open in September, which suggests a release date for the album.
The Rolling Stones references continue to pile up on the company’s website. The font used closely resembles that of the Some Girls album released in 1978, and the band’s signature lips replace the dot in the letter i in the word “Diamonds”.

Customers also encounter a strange recorded message when calling the number provided in the ad.
“Welcome to Hackney Diamonds, the window repair specialists!” calls the voice. Don’t be mad, get them fixed!”
The Rolling Stones declined to comment on the rumors.
