Former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows posed for a mug shot during his booking in the Fulton County Jail and his release on $100,000 bail.
He showed up Thursday afternoon before Friday noon’s deadline and was taken to jail – including being fingerprinted, weighed and posed for a mug shot.
In the photo released by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, he looks straight at the camera with a slight growl on his lips.
Meadows requested a delay in his arrest as he attempted to shift his case from state court to the federal system.
But a judge ruled Wednesday that District Attorney Fani Willis could have had him arrested had he not appeared.
Prosecutors noted that Donald Trump, who was Meadows’ White House boss, “voluntarily agreed to surrender to state authorities while other defendants have already surrendered.”

Bail for Jeffrey Clark, a former Justice Department attorney who has also not yet surrendered, has been set at $100,000.
The cases of Clark and Meadows mirror each other. Clark also requested that his case be moved to the federal system and that his surrender be delayed.
He, too, was told to turn himself in by the Friday noon deadline.
Meadows immediately had a prison record in the Fulton County system that included details such as his height and weight – 6 feet and 250 pounds, respectively.
It was described as having blue eyes and “gray or partly gray” hair.
Trump is scheduled to surrender at the Fulton County Jail in Atlanta on Thursday afternoon.
“231,000,000 views and counting.” Biggest social media video of all time, more than double the Super Bowl! But please excuse me, I have to make my way to Atlanta, Georgia, where murder and other violent crimes have reached unprecedented levels, to be ARRESTED by Fani Willis, a radical leftist, Lowlife District Attorney, for a PERFECTLY phone call and the audacity to challenge a MANIPULATED AND STUD CHOICE. The proof is irrefutable!’ Trump made a post on Truth Social on Thursday afternoon.
The “views” he was referring to were his Wednesday night interview with Tucker Carlson, which was released at the same time as the first Republican primary debate.
“TIME OF ARREST: 7:30 p.m.,” Trump added.
Nine of the 19 accused co-conspirators have already been charged, mugged and released on bail.
Meadows was 10th and Trump is expected to be 11th.
Eight more are yet to emerge.
Trump will face the same process Thursday night when he turns himself in to Fulton County authorities. The former president is expected to be released Thursday on $200,000 bail.
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office has released mugshots of nine of Donald Trump’s co-defendants in the Georgia “criminal enterprise” attempting to overturn the 2020 election
Willis has charged all of the defendants with racketeering, alleging they were involved in a “criminal enterprise” to undo Joe Biden’s 2020 Georgia election victory.
None of the 19 have objected so far, as the indictment process in Georgia is separate from the accounting process.
Willis has requested that these charges take place during the week of September 5th. The accused can refrain from appearing at this hearing and comment on the allegations made against them. Lawyers may speak on their behalf.
Meadows is being charged in connection with his actions after the 2020 election.
Then-White House Chief of Staff Meadows arranged the phone call between Trump and Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, during which then-President Raffensperger urged him to “find” enough votes to beat Joe Biden.
Meadows was on the phone when Trump made his request. He also oversaw the verification of absentee ballot signatures in Cobb County, Georgia.
A judge will hear Meadow’s request for a federal court hearing on August 28.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis said she will issue a warrant for Mark Meadows’ arrest if he doesn’t turn himself in by noon Friday
Former Justice Department attorney Jeffrey Clark was also issued $100,000 bail
Authorities erected barricades outside the Fulton County Jail on Thursday
Willis argues that this should be denied as the conduct in question constituted “political activity” outside of his official duties as Trump’s chief of staff.
Meadows’ legal team had asked Willis to grant an extension of his arrest until after Monday’s hearing on a possible transfer to federal court.
But Willis refused Meadows’ request.
“I don’t grant extensions,” she told Meadows’ legal team.
“I’ve given people two weeks to face the court.” Her client is no different from any other defendant in this area of law. “The two weeks were an enormous courtesy.”
And she said an arrest warrant would be issued if he didn’t comply.
“On Friday at 12:30 p.m. I will be filing warrants in the system,” she added.
Clark was a Justice Department attorney who penned a letter a month after the 2020 election falsely claiming that the Justice Department had identified “significant concerns” about voter fraud in Georgia and other states.
The letter was never sent but called on Georgia officials to call a special session of the state legislature to overturn Biden’s victory.
Trump had considered appointing Clark acting attorney general, but senior Justice Department officials threatened to resign en masse if he did. It never went through.
