FIFA announced on Saturday that it would temporarily suspend Spanish Football Federation president Luis Rubiales, who is accused of forcibly kissing player Jenni Hermoso after Sunday’s World Cup final.

“We decided today to temporarily suspend Mr. Luis Rubiales from all football-related activities at national and international level,” world football’s governing body said in a statement, adding that the ban would last for at least 90 days. The Spaniard’s proceedings have been opened.
