Kim Kardashian seemed straight out of a nightmare in the latest American Horror Story commercial.
Dressed as Siobhan Walsh, the 42-year-old reality star posed upside down while sporting a plunging black bodysuit and matching latex gloves.
In addition to her spooky makeup and a bright red lip gloss, her long platinum locks were oddly covered in cobwebs.
Hulu posted the image on Friday with the caption, “Screaming, crying, already scared.” Can’t wait to see Kim Kardashian in #AHSDelicate, part one premieres in September @fxnetworks.
The latest look comes less than two weeks after FX released a creepy shot of her with a giant black widow spider hanging from her torso, its spindly legs wrapping around her body.
Spooky:
The 13th season of the FX horror anthology series begins September 20th.
AHS: Delicate is an adaptation of the horror novel Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine.
It follows the story of Anna (Emma Roberts), an actress who has undergone multiple IVF treatments and becomes paranoid because mysterious forces are preventing her from conceiving, but no one – including her husband – believes her.
She eventually becomes pregnant but miscarries. But despite what the doctors say, she still feels her baby growing and her body is showing signs of pregnancy.
“It’s essentially a horror novel about pregnancy,” the author told Entertainment Weekly.
“It’s a novel that explores not only the actual physical cruelty of pregnancy, but also the medical gaslighting that even modern, very privileged women experience during their pregnancy, and the symptoms that I believe we still experience as a culture. “I don’t talk about it for strange reasons.”
The author added that she drew more inspiration from Alien than Rosemary’s Baby when writing the book.
In June, The Kardashians star (and series creator Ryan Murphy) faced criticism for filming episodes of the series during the WGA strike, more than a month after production halted due to the strike.
Creepy: Her latest appearance as Siobhan Walsh comes just weeks after FX released a terrifying shot of her sporting a giant black widow spider on the front of her torso
Showing off her acting skills, a teaser for the show’s upcoming 12th season was released last month, in which the TV personality rocked a baby while a spooky rendition of the lullaby ‘Rock-a-bye Baby’ played in the background
Spooky: After a series of spooky images flashed across the screen, such as an egg falling out of a bird’s nest or an empty cot swinging back and forth, the performer made direct eye contact with the camera
Kim tweeted: “Hi guys! I’m on the set of AHS and we have some time between takes. What are you all up to????’
Fans dubbed her scabs, and even WGA strike captain T Cooper wrote alongside a clip of Kardashian being driven to set in a black SUV: “It doesn’t appear that Kim Kardashian is pro-labor.”
But TV writer Franchesca Ramsey clarified things, tweeting, “I’m not a fan of Kim but if she’s in SAG (which she probably is) there’s a no-strike clause in our contract.”
“As showrunner, Ryan Murphy is responsible for setting the production, not the actors.”
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum will play the character Siobhan Walsh, alongside Roberts as Anna Alcott and Cara Delevingne as Ivory.
Surprising: Reactions to the trailer, which was released last month, poured out on Twitter, with one social media user admitting: “I didn’t know how she would fit into the show when it was announced, but so far (what looks) She looks really, really good!’
“I didn’t even recognize her,” claimed one Twitter user
Impressed: Another tweeted: “Omg woah she looks so cool.”
Good reactions: Others compared the entrepreneur to a “shapeshifter” and even marveled that she looked like Selling Sunset’s Christine Quinn
Skeptical: Some still felt the show was just “pulling celebrity names out of a hat and casting them.”
It works: The celebrity casting has caught the attention of many viewers
