Pools: 5 attackers who will give more

They had a great season from 2022-2023 but everything indicates they can still improve.

Here are 5 players who will give more this season, according to Pool Pro magazine.

Gabriel Vilardi

The forward, recently acquired from the Winnipeg Jets, will have every chance to make an impact. Last season in Los Angeles, the Ontarioian started showing good pace. He finished the season with 41 points in 63 games.

As a first-round pick in 2017, Vilardi will have a chance to play alongside great players like Nikolaj Ehlers, Kyle Connors and Mark Scheifele. Pool Pro expects to accumulate around fifty points this season.

Jake DeBrusk

Despite numerous trade requests, DeBrusk is still a member of the Boston Bruins.

In the 2022/23 season he had the best season of his career with 50 points in 64 games. The Albertans’ success continued in the playoffs with four goals in seven games. Pool Pro predicts 65 points this year!

Auston Matthews

Yes, 40 goals in the National Hockey League is a lot, but Matthews has proven throughout his career that he can do better.

With 60 goals in 2021-2022, the American has all the makings to aim for the top scorer championship. Even if the plateau of 60 goals is huge, we bet he will find his magic touch this season.

Pool Pro experts predict 50 nets for Matthews this season.

Jesperi Kotkaniemi

After a difficult first season in Carolina, Kotkaniemi showed greatness last year.

The Finn set personal records with 18 goals and 43 points. The former CH “seems ready to take on more responsibility and rack up the points that come with it,” say Pool Pro’s pundits.

According to Pool Pro, Kotkaniemi should be flirting with the 50-point plateau this season.

Nick Suzuki

The Canadiens captain is making progress every year. After a great harvest of 61 points in 2021-2022, Suzuki raised the bar last year with 66 points including 26 goals.

With a healthy Cole Caufield, a Kirby Dach, who knows Martin St-Louis’ game system well, everything indicates that Suzuki can (further) increase its production.

Pool Pro believes he can hit the 70-point plateau this season.
