“Ukraine risks losing the military support of some major powers if the battlefield of the war shifts to Russian territory.” This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview, the Kiev Independent reported. “If the war shifts to Russia,” he added, “there is a great risk that we will definitely be left alone. There are great states in our world for which there is only one reason why they do not side with Russia: the territorial integrity of the state. If I intentionally order my troops and decide to go to Russian territory, I need to be sure that this state will not be with me. We have to think about what is more important for the people and for Ukraine now.”
