A 21-year-old man has been arrested for fatally shooting his father as part of a domestic dispute in Pembroke Pines.

According to a police report, officers were dispatched to 601 SW 68 Terrace in Pembroke Pines Saturday and found Horace Antonio Watkins Sr. with multiple gunshot wounds after being shot multiple times by his son Horace Antonio Watkins Jr., NBC Miami reported.

The man was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, but despite best efforts, the 42-year-old died of his injuries, police said.

According to the report, her son, Horace Antonio Watkins Jr., was found in Miami Gardens and quickly taken into custody.

Police say the shooting was domestic and are investigating.

In another domestic violence incident in Florida recently, a mother was arrested for strangling her 13-year-old son in Osceola County.

Jasmine Kennedy, 37He spontaneously confessed to killing his son, Osceola County officials said.

Investigators say Jasmine Kennedy was cooperating with the investigation and has been charged with domestic violence by strangulation, child neglect and serious child abuse, Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez said at a news conference.
