When the sun was shining in the early afternoon, the queues at the six ticket offices were very long. Families had to wait more than 45 minutes to get daily wristbands for $38. Under the blazing sun, the ExpoCité site filled up noticeably around 1:30 p.m.
On Sunday, the site opened its doors from 12:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The director of the Beauce Carnaval, Véronique Vallée, was contacted by phone and, given the heavy traffic, discussed the possibility of extending the opening time by an hour or two.
The director of the Beauce Carnaval notes that attendance was more spread out over several days, while traffic in 2022 was concentrated on Saturdays. Véronique Vallée takes stock of the Beauce Carnaval stay in Quebec and assures us that, unlike last year, we have received very positive feedback from customers.
Beauce Carnaval had doubled the number of ticket offices from three to six, increased the number of rides, and added attractions like the Gladius board game tent and the League of Heroes costumed entertainment. Those additions are here to stay, says Ms. Vallée.
The director of Beauce Carnaval also expressed a desire to settle in the capital for a period of two weeks to better meet demand. Not next year, she said, but in the years that followed.
