The 35-year-old singer interrupted her August 26 concert in Las Vegas while performing her hit single “Water Under the Bridge” to call a security guard who had been harassing a male fan who had stood up from his seat in the audience.
The singer, who recently revealed she collapsed after one of her residency shows due to a sciatic attack, drew praise from fans on social media after a video defending the fan went viral.
In footage of the incident, Adele was heard saying to the unidentified security guard: “What’s up with that young fan who’s been bothered so much since I was brought on because he got up?” What’s up with him? Yes, you, with a raised hand, yes you!’
Dissatisfied with the security officer’s response, which couldn’t be heard due to loud cheers from the crowd at the concert, the 16-time Grammy winner continued to yell at the security officer to “leave the fan alone.”
