A disturbing disappearance, to say the least. This Monday evening, August 28, 2023, the Spanish sea rescue service is still looking for a sailing boat with two Germans on board between the tourist islands of Menorca and Mallorca. The latter have not announced any news since Sunday morning, reports the France-Presse agency (AFP).

Sunday “At 6:30 p.m., an informant informed us that he had not been able to reach the sailing boat Makan Angin (two German crew members) since 10 a.m..”said Spanish sea rescuers on Monday on the social network X. “They had left Cala Galdana”on the island of Menorca “and had Cala d’Or as a destination”on the island of Mallorca, in the Spanish Balearic archipelago, said the relief.
A helicopter and two search boats were deployed and found nothing on Monday evening, said a spokeswoman for the aid organization AFP. So far, no connection has been made with the bad weather that hit the Balearic Islands and part of Spain’s Mediterranean coast on Sunday.
